I am wondering what people would think of a new class at PCS...It would be an entry level class...We ran these back home and had a good turnout on them...plus you always get at least 2 pit fees per car because there are 2 drivers....lol...Just a quick rundown: Front wheel drive 4-cylinder automatics with 2 driver...the one on the left controls the steering and brakes...the one on the right has the gas....

I am just trying to think of ways to get more cars and this is fairly cheap tp get into plus it brings in twice the drivers and possibly twice the fans....lol....I can maybe get a copy of the pay they got but i know it wasnt much......i believe it was less than the bombers get paid here....

Here is a copy of the rules they ran:

2007 ROAD HOG CLASS RULESIf you don’t see it in print, don’t do it!!

1. Any compact American made front wheel drive car with a 4 cyl motor. Motors are limited to a single cam with 2 valves per cylinder. Amended 07/24/02

2. Window nets (both driver’s door) are MANDATORY as outlined in the general rules !

3. 4 point roll cage with a minimum of 3 doors bars on each of the front doors. A 6 point cage as illustrated in the general rules is highly recommended. Cage diameter to be 1.50” Minimum. Foam padding is recommended on all bars.

4. All glass, mirrors, plastic, pot metal, chrome clips, lights door handles, locks moldings, etc or anything that could possibly fall on the track surface and become hazardous to other cars must be removed.

5. All burnable material such as, headliner, floor coverings, rear seat, door panels, etc must be removed.

6. Wire mesh must be installed in the windshield area to protect both occupants.

7. Seat belts and shoulder harnesses are mandatory. Racing belts as outlined in the general rules are highly recommended. BRS recommends the use of a aluminum racing seat.

8. Helmets with full face shield are required.

9. Battery must be securely mounted in stock position or in trunk, no exceptions. No batteries allowed in the drivers / passenger area.

10. No high performance or heavy duty parts allowed in drive train or suspension.

11. No altering of suspension as direction of cars may be reversed at any given time during the race.

12. All suspension, engine and drive train must be same as car.

13. Brakes must be equally functional on all 4 corners.

14. Automatic transmissions only !

15. All Engine components must be stock to engine / year of car. No high performance, heavy / severe duty, or aftermarket components of any type (example; cams, pistons, heads, carb, intake manifolds, ignition components).

16. Stock carburetion /EFI for year of car and motor..

17. One radiator per car and must remain in stock location. No radiator of any type in drivers/passenger compartment.

18. Stock wheels only. Wheel may have reinforced center sections. No race tires, snow tires, or grips allowed. Only tires designed for street use will be accepted. Over size wheel nuts on right side of car are highly recommended.

19. All numbers must be 18” high and 3” wide, in a contrasting color to the car and must be neatly painted on both the door panels and the roof. A 6” x 6” inch number of contrasting color must be on the front of the car as well as the back.

20. No cutting, reinforcing or modifying on anything on the vehicle except as specified in the rules.

21. May cut out rear fenders for tire clearance.

22. Driver side of car to control steering and brakes only. Passenger side will have control of throttle either by hand or foot.

23. Doors and trunk must be chained or welded shut. Hood may be chained or pinned. One hole in hood is mandatory (minimum or 6” OD) for ease in extinguishing fires.

24. Stock bumpers are required on front and rear of car at all times. No fabricated or heavily reinforced bumpers. Bumpers are to be chained to frame.

25. No functional spoilers or wings are allowed. Non-functional spoilers or wings for crowd appeal may be added to car and are subject to track approval.

26. Fuel tank must be relocated in the trunk with a recommended 2 steel tie-downs of 2” wide by 1/8” thick across the top of the fuel tank with 2 equivalent tie downs on the bottom side of the trunk floor. Top and bottom straps are to be secured together with a minimum ˝” diameter, G5 cap screw, with lock washer and G5 nut.

27. A safety wall between the driver’s compartment and trunk is mandatory with all holes tinned shut. Anything other than a stock tank must be of steel construction or safety approved.

28. Class is also subject to BRS general rules and procedures.

29. Any rules not covered in the above rules shall be left up to the discretion of the track officials. All cars will be subject to inspection before each race program. Any car not approved by BRS officials will not compete until corrections are made. If the rules don’t say you can do it, don’t. DISALLOWED IF NOT ALLOWED. Call the tech inspector for clarification if in doubt.

Cars are also subject to, or are required to comply with the General Rules of Buffalo River Speedway as published.

Car Owners, Drivers & Crew personnel are advised that Buffalo River Speedway (BRS) does not ensure that competing cars comply with all documented rules on a week-to-week basis or at the time they are technically inspected. It is up to the individual competing the car (Owner/Driver) to comply with the rules as written. A technical inspection does not constitute that a car is in compliance with all documented rules.

Rules, components or procedures specifically not mentioned as being allowed are “ILLEGAL” unless approved by BRS. Teams that have any doubts or questions with regards to the legality of using any new product, procedure or an undocumented component need to contact a BRS official for clarification on use with regard to a specific class. If an individual needs assistance in determining if his car complies with a specific rule, then he should contact Curt Schmidt for an appointment in order to determine if the car complies with a specific rule. BRS reserves the right to modify the rules at any time to keep all manufacturers brands competitive (i.e. GM, Ford, & MOPAR).

No express or implied warranty of safety shall result from compliance with these rules & regulations. The rules are intended as a guide for the conduct of the sport & in no way are a guarantee against injury or death to participants, spectators, or others. If a car is found noncompliant with existing rules under a protest situation they will be penalized accordingly. Reminder - All cars must be technically inspected before allowed to race. Racing can be dangerous and it is the driver’s responsibility to inspect the track surface and facility prior to entering a race. If the driver feels there are any unsafe conditions that he feels may put him at risk he should not compete. The driver should document concerns in writing and submit them to the BRS office for review.

What PCS needs, is more cars in the classes that they have instead of another class to worry about. Thats just my opinion. Plus another 4cyl. class will just be more for everyone to complain about tearing up the track.

there are a few tracks that run a v-8 road hog class that would be close to the purestocks just not do any mods to them....lol....i just thought it is a cheap class to get into....if you look at the classes that are struggling there right now for car counts....they are all higher dollar classes....just trying to see what people would think of a class like that...they were a blast to watch...they were the slowest cars but always had the best races.....dont usually have anyone runaway from the group....and it takes good teamwork.....lol
