I was just looking around and saw the 2009 rules are out!!! That makes me very happy The only thing I found strange...and it may just be me...but if I am reading correctly the purestocks can weigh 100 pounds less than a hobby....Is this normal in the south? Our purestocks weight 3400, 3600, 2800 depending on what size motor you had and our street stocks which run almost the same rules as the hobby's were 3200. I may just be insane but shouldnt the purestocks weigh more than a hobby?

YES DOSH THE HOBBY'S SHOULD WEIGH LESS THEN THE PURE STOCKS........

That definitely doesn't make sense at all. Hobby can are hulled and our pures aren't suppose to be. Maybe it's a typo.

Well I looked at the rules from last year and the Hobby's are 50lbs more than the Pures.. If I had looked at it right I think VSP & Ocala both say the same thing Hobby 3200 and Pure 3100

I see that now....I guess it's just another thing for me to get use to down here....lol....I guess I am just use to as you move up in classes your cars get more power and lighter....not more power and heavier....lol....So the way the rules sit now...if you dont build the mototr in your hobby the pures can out run you....makes perfect sence to me....lol

I guess it kinda makes a little sense. The hobbys have a 6 point cage and bars in the front and rear of the car that we don't have. There is more added to a hobby.

PLUS......don't the drivers of the Hobby's have fatter butts than the guys driving the Pures?

Raz....I would have to agree with that...maybe thats why we can hull our bodues and have to weigh more....lol

Now that the rules are out, who do we speak to if we have any questions or comments? Is Bill Fisher still the tech man?
