| It is def. getting out of hand. They need to make up their minds and post some rules for all to see instead of all this calling crap. I hope they get it figured out soon. I want to run there on the 22nd bu starting to debate leaving it on the jack stands in the garage til the season starts | |

| there will be NO 9 inch allowed in anything except a Ford car and it has to come with it OEM, Bob is still working on some other sponsors, I can tell you every car that takes the green will be paid, its $2500 to win and 30th place will get $30, and as far as anyone pulling in early and going back out right before the 50 lap break guys its not happening, we will let you know what the maximum amount of laps you can be down on the 22nd at the drivers meeting. The $30 ($40 at the gate if not pre entered) is a pre-entry fee for the CAR which makes up part of your purse and then you have your pit pass for each person. Also you can pre-enter your pit pass and save $10. We are running your track rules from whatever track you run at, with the exception of headers face it you spend as much or more for a good set of stock manifolds. As far as 2011 rules start building your cars theres not that much the difference in the other tracks rules that you can hold up on the questionable things for a few more weeks and NO there want be any World Product or any other S/R (NO stock replacement aftermarket heads of ANY kind) in the PURESTOCK/THUNDERSTOCK, OPEN CHAMBER ONLY (OEM) YOU WILL BE TECHED BY YOUR RULE BOOK BRING IT AS WE WILL HAVE A COPY OF ALL FLORIDA TRACK RULES AND GEORGIA RULES, Drivers please bring a copy of your track rules if you have them. Any tech questions please call Robert Von Schmidt at 904-813 2345. Any event questions call Richard Tipton | |

I run at Waycross in the pure stock class. We are allowed to run floater rearends. Is this ok?

| This is going to be pretty interesting. The Ga guys are def going to be doing pretty good since they are allowed more than we are. Starting to wonder how this is all going to work...... I guess we'll have to wait till it gets closer to see what it's going to look like. | |

If the thunder stocks are going to run headers and racing tires, why not run 9" rearends and have that many more cars show up. If the track is good and racing is properly ran, maybe some of the cars will race year long. I am thinking about it. Floaters are a lot safer than chevy rear ends and is a lot easier to change gears. It takes away any advantage a ford car will have.

With all this discussion, I don't believe anybody really knows what the rules are gonna be until the race is over. If the track is gonna run Thunder stocks, then run Thunder stock rules. Not half this or that. If you are gonna run basterd rules then lets go all out. A ford nich inch is not going to make any difference except a closer gear ratio. It make a lot more sense to run 9" than a chevy. Safer and less hassle if you want to change gears. Florida tracks have ruined the rules and racing. The street stocks have been blown way out and the racing sucks with ten cars. Owners and promoters listen to the few who cry and screw everybody else. Now thats BS

| NO SPACER PLATES OR BIG 1850 CARBS OR ALUMINUN INTAKES THAT WAYCROSS HOBBY STOCKS RUN I MEANT PURE STOCKS UNLESS WE ALL GET TO RUN THEM. IF WAYCROSS CARS GET TO RUN THIS STUFF THEN EVERYONE SHOULD GET TO. I DONT MIND IT. SOMEBODY NEEDS TO GET IT STRAIGHT THOUGH. ILL JUST BRING A WAYCROSS RULE BOOK WITH ME AND THATS WHERE ILL BE FROM. | |

| 1850 vac secondary is not a big carb. Quadrajets are bigger. And you can not run aluminum intakes or bowtie intakes. Go to waycross web and read rules. Again, I agree with you that if you are going to run Thunder stocks then run thunder stock rules. Cast iron exhaust and street tires. | |

| if you knew half of what you where doing you could make the gear just as close on a stock gm just as much on a nine inch. and i agree they all should be on dot tires all the way around. i have my self changed a gear set in a gm rear end in an hour, its not rocket sience. and also what thunder stock class do you run in that you can run a floater in anyway? | |

| Ok. Let me explain this in simple english.
If the track is going to allow headers and racing tires, then go ahead and run 9" rearends.
If the track is going to put on a THUNDER STOCK race, then run only THUNDER STOCK rules.
Since they are interbreading the rules and making a baster baby, lets go all out.
I do not run THUNDER STOCKS. I run Hobby Stocks at Golden Isles and Pure Stock At Waycross.
Thunder Stocks Should be the same rules as Golden Isles Pure Stock Class.
As far as rearends go, I know you can go through the transmission and so on. It is still smarter and safer to run a floater rearend.
As I said earlier, I believe the THUNDER STOCK race should be Strickly Thunder Stock Rules.

| I called the track and was told it is not NOT your track rules...... The man that is running the track told me that it will be Volusia rules with the addition of the optional headers and race tires. He assured me it won't be run your track rules which makes me feel better. I guess we'll be there with the car and the family. Hope it turns out good and I heard from a few people that the track is steadily being worked on and is looking really good. I can't wait to get out there. | |

| WOW what a dam mess. The man tells me it isn't "run your track rules" then 8 hours later it's back to this. Until something is figured out for sure I think we will just leave the car the way it is and then we'll decide for sure if we're racing or sitting this one out. This is a total mess and I hope this is not what we have to look forward to. I hope we can get some real answers soon........ | |
