I spoke with Clarance last night, he will not be putting on a banquet. He has said we can use the track for one if we would like to put one together. I have a few ideas for catering if anyone is interested in either putting one together or attending one. I dont think it would be expensive to have it catered. That is just an idea, there are certainly other options if interested. Honestly, doesnt matter to me. Yes I would like to see the top three in each class get their trophies in a manner that is appropriate(handed to them at a banquet in front of everyone) but regardless of whether there is a banquet or not the bombers have trophies coming next week.

MRS>GWS217 NO MR. not a surprise that clarance doent what to do anything for the track...this year he has really put the track to shame.he has ran everyone away....we had no choice but to race as my son wanted to win...and he did.so what you do for one son you do for the other.but. there will not be another year....really enjoyed everyone that ran but it was never GOOD FOR ONE AND NOT THE OTHER.........the bombers got the croud there and were treated like SHIT ALL THE TIME>just had to say my peace.....................great race last night.tight points mybe next year s&s good clean racing all year long ..............lori let us know about the other things i will do what i can......MRS.GWS217

I have to say something here - like it or not. These racers - all of them good, clean racers - dedicated an entire season to Putnam County Speedway. After a certain amount of races, they are even more dedicated because they're racing for points - and an end of the year trophy. These same racers came out in force at the beginning of the season and offered their time and money and talents to spruce up Putnam County Speedway, feeling that it was their home track and they wanted to be proud. Any of them could have raced all year at Volusia or Orcala and been treated with more respect. All year long you could watch the crowds disappear a little at a time. But to collect money for the 50/50, supposedly dedicating half of it to an end of year banquet and trophies and then to announce there's no money for a banquet or trophies makes me wonder what the hell happened to the money? I'm pissed - these racers did more than their share and come out with what?????? For what it's worth racers, you have my total respect for a great year of racing - entertainment and being able to get to know a lot of you.

I can't agree more Momof Beavis. We all stuck through the bad track conditions, rough nights, rumors, empty promises and on and on. We deserve our banquet and awards and it was payed for and we got our points fund stolen from us. It was announced on a normal basis that the 50/50 money was a drivers fund but now there is NOTHING..... HMMMMMM that sounds like thievery to me. I know quite a few people really pissed about this subject me and my family being some. I have friends/family/fans that gave 15-20.00 on a normal basis to th 50/50 mainly because it was suppose to go to us drivers. My family and I were also at all the clean ups to try and give the track a much needed pick me up. The clean up is a whole other crappy subject in it's own since we all went out there and fixed doors, painted wall, replaced cabinets, raked, did a lot of repairs on the bathrooms and more...... After all that the man couldn't even keep the place clean so it all went to shit anyway. That was a smack in the face but we all still showed up every Saturday to deal with all the other drama. HMMMMMM who was the dumb ones????? I know I am one of them. I know this will piss some people off but most of you all agree with me. I still had a good time racing with all the great drivers that we have out at PCS just wish we were treated a lot better and talked to the right way instead of being treated the way we all were. OK I'm done for now. Mad Mad Mad Mad Mad Mad Mad Mad Mad Mad Mad Mad Mad Mad Mad Mad Mad Mad Mad Mad Mad Mad Mad Mad Mad Mad Mad Mad Mad Mad Mad Mad Mad Mad Mad Mad Mad

John and Mom of Beavis I guess we need to think of the positive we can take away from this experience, we made some friends. I know Shawn and I have been fortunate to make some good friends out there and that is worth more than a trophy and banquet(but they would have been nice to have)!!!! Lets hope things change for next season(except the friends part lol) and this time next year the track will be in great shape, the bathrooms will have toilet paper, paper towels, soap and functioning doors with locks and dare I say it funds for a banquet and trophies???

Like I said I had a good time out there. I also made a lot of good friends, you and Shawn being some. I have looked at the positive as much as possible all year, but all the negative has caught up and there is too much to ignore. I don't regret racing there because I still had a great time and met a lot of great people but I do hate how we are all being done. I hope PCS does see bigger and better things for next year and we all know the only way we will see that......... I'll leave that alone since I don't even have to go there.

John114 - I respect the drivers and workers at PCS. I've seen some great racing - good sportsmanship - tiffs and spats forgotten and people moving on in the name of the sport.......and yes there are a lot of friendships formed that will last forever. That's the way it should be - and that part of the track was right. YOU racers did what you were supposed to do and beyond. I just get angry at the way you were treated - particularly since you supplied an income for someone who owed you a ton more respect. And, I will add - that when going to another track like Ocala - it's even more fun to see the racers from Putnam give them a run for their money - and many times win! Thanks to each and everyone of the drivers for an exciting year.
