HELP PCS!!!!!!

WHAT DO YA THINK NEEDS TO HAPPEN TO TURN PCS AROUND AND MAKE IT FLORIDA'S #1 DIRT TRACK?

A lot of cleaning up would make huge difference to the fans and
hopefully bring new ones. I believe some new paint and cleaning of the
bathrooms, fix up the kids play areas, fix up the stands a little, get
victory lane looking good, maybe make the infield look like the old
pics on here. A couple big things are, the clay and the score board. If
everyone bands together it can work. When the clean up is done, post
pictures of what it looks like now and after the cleaning is done.
Doing this will show the fans that something is being done, shows the
racers that the track is improving, and will show new racers and fans
that PCS is a nice track and hopefully bring some people out there for
the first time and go from there. Something has to be done, it would be
a shame to see it not work. I personally will help out where ever I
can. I get my friends out there but a lot of them have complained about
the bathrooms and the kids play areas. The play area by turn 1 is
pretty bad. Another thing to possibly try is stuff during the
intermission to make it more fun for the fans while we're getting ready
for the feature. I can think of a lot of things to do but will they get
done is the question. Maybe with all the talk about people donating
time and whatever they can, something will be done to make it a better
place for all of us. Another thing too. If he descides not to race on a
normal basis dec. and Jan. maybe change test and tune to Saturdays and
charge the drivers 10.00 and the people there to help 5.00 I would
personaly go for that just to get the seat time and make sure my car is
right for 2009. Wed. are a waste because by the time you get out of
work and try to get there it's almost dark. Just my $.02

SEEMS YALL ARE IN AGREEINCE WITH CLEANING THE PLACE UP FIRST....... OK I WILL DO WHAT I CAN TO HELP, AFTER THIS WEEKEND WE ARE DONE RACING TILL NEXT YEAR. SO MY WEEKENDS AND SOME OF MY WEEK DAYS ARE OPEN. WE NEED A LIST FROM CLARENCE SO WE KNOW WHAT NEEDS REPAIRED FIRST, I HAVE COMMERCIAL PAINT SPRAYER THAT WILL MAKE PAINTING A SNAP. I ALSO HAVE A LOT OF FRIENDS THAT WILL PITCH IN AND HELP IN ALL TRADES BUT ELECTRIC.

if any one nows how to get clay i know someone with a dumptruck that will help if we help with gas i will do anything i can

I had talked to Clarence yesterday and he was all for the helping out.. So he is suppose to get something together on and we will work on a list and he is going to get back with me on everything..

what all tools do you need i have some lawn equipment saws what else is needed i want to help as much as possible just need to know what is needed we need too know what to bring?

i would say if we couldget some white paint and painting supplies that would be great sowe could paint the bathrooms and refresh them a lil and i am sure there are other things that need to be painted as well a pressure washer would be nice to to help clean the place up, lawn equipment, and whatever else you guys think of . the more people we get the more different jobs we can get done.....

OK CAN SOMEONE CHECK WITH THE LOCAL HARDWARE STORES SEE IF WE CAN GET SOME DONATIONS. WHAT ABOUT LUMBER DO WE NEED ANY? I WILL SEE WHAT I CAN DIG UP TONIGHT.....

i know we need some for the playground where the big kids broke the swing set so any thing u can bring would be good ill be there ready to work

def. need lumber for the play areas and I might have some white paint in my garage. I will see what else I can come up with to donate.

OK WHAT KIND OF PAINT IS NEEDED? I HAVE A FRIEND THAT WORKS AT LOWES IN MT. DORA HE SAID HE CAN GET ME 5 GALLON BUCKETS OF PAINT BUT I DON'T KNOW WHAT KIND WATER,OIL BASE ECT. & COLORS....... I HAVE ANOTHER FRIEND THAT HAS A SKIDSTEER "BOB CAT" DO WE NEED IT? AND I STILL NEED TO KNOW ABOUT LUMBER? MY NEIGHBOR HAS A SAW MILL HE CAN CUT WHAT EVER WE NEED AS FAR AS BLEACHER MATERIAL WE NEED, WHAT IS NEEDED FOR THE "PLAY GROUND?

latex white paint 4x4s 2x4s for playgound and anything else u would like to bring would help for the bobcat i dont know beavis would have to find out

I believe the wood on the play areas would def. be 2X4, 4X4, and 1X6. 1X6 is the most important. The stands are most likely 2X10 or 2X12 If possible it should be pressure treated. I could be wrong but wouldn't we need black, white, and red latex exterior paint. With those colors we could do the bathrooms, buildings, and victory lane if I'm correct on the colors of victory lane. Thats what I would think we'd need on colors.

i like that idea about the colors that would be neat thats for sure....i will deffenitly pick up some paint rollers and paint brushes this week.

Not sure what we can all get done..Depending on how many show up and supplies, but here was a list that was suggested by John114 and it sounds pretty good to me..

1-- Bathrooms
2-- Playgrounds
3-- Victory Lane area
4-- Concession areas

That could be a start..I like the idea about White, Red, Black paint too. would look nice.. So is sounds like we would need paint for bathrooms & Concession areas & Victory Lane, wood for the bathrooms if any stalls need fixing,wood for they playgrounds.. Lawn equipment would alway help to to get things trimmed up a bit.. Someone said something about the grandstands needing wood too.. I have never really seen any of the wooden stands so I'm not sure what needs fixing on those.. Maybe some yellow paint for the grand stands where they have it marked to walk up and down..

We'll just go from there and see what we can get done and I'm sure we will see things after being out there and looking around....

Its just my opinion but, when you arrive at a track what is the very first thing you see? The gate to the parking lot,thats what!
1. is the gate falling off the hinges and the fence in good shape?
2. is the grass cut and all the trash picked up(includes tear off's blowing around)
3. are the workers in the ticket booth,and pit sign in dressed properly,and pleasent to talk to(or would they rather be someplace else?
4. have the slabs been cleaned off and the trash cans empty,and placed where the need to be?
5. are the restrooms CLEAN,and are trere proper paper supplies?
6. Is the concession stand CLEAN,CLEAN and are the food handlers wearing gloves and a hat or hair net? and does the food smell and taste good,look in the trash cans,this is a clue.
7.are the grand stands clean and free of debries,and walk ways clearly marked? Do they have hand rails?
8. once the show starts does the p.a. work,do the cars come on the track ready to race or does it take 10 laps under caution to get lined up? If a caution happends does it take forever to clear the track,(will the wrecker start? and does the driver know how to operate it)?
9. when the night is over is it easy to get out of the parking lot and pits?
10. once out will you come back,and bring your mother,or new girl friend?

an old friend of mine ask me these questions when I had my track,and after reading them they make a lot of sence.
remember that we are in the enterainment business,and the track must look good and be operated as such.
