After last night at Volusia, I feel I need to get on here and speak my mind. First, Shawn and I went to Ocala to watch Mikey (we wanted to cheer him on when he beat the s and s crew lol) on Friday night. After decided for two hours that the rain wasnt letting up they cancelled. They took a while to figure that out while everyone sat in the rain but they did rescedule and offer rainchecks. Second, Shawn and I once again wanted to cheer on Mikey (and our friends) so we trekked to Volusia last night. Rain held off until we started the first feature race. Then once it started it wasnt letting up anytime soon. I read on here all the time about people slamming the way PCS is run and they do this and they do that etc... Let me tell you, Volusia aint no better. Knowing the rain was coming they took almost an hour doing their "annual weiner dog race" which wasnt completely necessary when the rains-a-comin. I cant believe we didnt complete a feature race and they wouldnt give rainchecks or money back to drivers. I know they cant control the weather anymore than we can but lets be realistic here. They charged 25 per driver plus people with them there was close to 100 drivers last night. They didnt have to pay any payouts plus raked in all that cash off the drivers and their pit people. How fair is that? Atleast PCS gives rainchecks to EVERYONE,drivers included. I understand now how Volusia can afford have a nice track, they take they money, rainout, no rainchecks no payouts. Just doesnt seem fair to me Dont think we'll be back anytime soon
