Well I guess it’s really a matter of how much work you want to put into it, right? I’ve never stripped down a g-body and made it race ready but as a g-body enthusiast I don’t approve of taking a street legal, well maintained, classic and beating the hell out of it on a race track, straight or oval. Even the cars out of a junk yard since the carcasses are getting rarer, at least up here around Jacksonville where I live. (But I don’t blame the racers. That’s the fault of the manufactures not building cars that we want.)
As for looking to explore other tracks I understand completely. I recently moved to Jacksonville, I’m in the Navy. I went to Putnam for a few months, got fed up and started taking my patronage else where. But I keep up on events with the track on here because I know like back home in Virginia all tracks have their up and down periods.
I’ll keep an ear out for the rear end, lots of contacts and connections up here at the base.
BTW what make car is that in your profile picture?
