Tough Track Empty
PostSubject: Tough Track   Tough Track EmptySat Jul 04, 2009 1:42 am

I must say I for one enjoyed Friday racing. We could have been done quite a bit earlier if we had started on time. Why is it when racing starts at 7 we really dont start til 8 or so? Just like tonight, racing was supposed to begin at 8. It was probably close to 9 oclock when we even started qualifying. The bike racing for kids was nice, the kids loved it. One thing that I just cant understand is how the track has the sprints park on the track each month they come. It would be one thing if they werent there regularly but they are so this seems to be a waste of time. It was almost midnight when we did that tonight. It was unnecessary to keep fans and drivers waiting that long. PCS has such great potential but they need to work on a few things.. First, Clarance needs to have a schedule in advance, not days prior. I think most people would appreciate a schedule a month at a time. Second, if they say racing starts at 7 then racing needs to start at 7 I dont care if this racer or that racer isnt there yet, sorry buddy you snooze you lose It is not fair to the drivers and fans that are there on time to have to sit around waiting on those that cant seem to make it on time. The track condition tonight was a bit better than last week. There was still some ruts but not the major ones. Of course, the best case scenario would be to have no ruts. Hopefully PCS continues to work on the track and make the conditions better and safer for the drivers.
With that being said, I must say how nice and clean all classes raced tonight. There was some close finishes in some of the classes. This is what the fans go to see. I hope it continues. Have a safe and happy 4th Already looking forward to racing next week...

Putnam needs to take a hard look at NFS. Last week with the sprints on the schedule, racing was done at 11pm and that was with large car counts. Phil knows how to keep a show moving along.
