| Wow, what a mixed night at PCS tonight. The races were great, things stayed pretty close to on schedule and got out at a decent hour(finally yahoo!). But the track was in pretty bad shape. There was a few holes, some much larger than others. Each time a car went over one, the burning question was is this car staying on all fours? Fortunately, there were no roll overs and major wrecks. Something has to be done about the condition of the track. During intermission, a tractor brought onto the track what appeared to be just ordinary sand. Yes I am serious. Our drivers deserve better than that, they deserve clay to be brought in and a track thats safe to race on. I also heard that one driver(during the drivers meeting) was given the option to get money back or race with a different class, since he was the only car to show up in his class. Of course he opted for driving with the other class. After the meeting but prior to him taking staging area he was told not to pass the other cars. What kind of crap is this? I am pretty certain the driver would have opted for his money back if he was told up front that he could race with the other class but can not pass them. This is completely unfair and now this driver (who is a new driver to PCS) has said he wont return he will race in Volusia. So instead of trying to entice new people,Clarance is instead running them off. Way to go Clarance. Thats how ya show the people that are already down on PCS they are wrong and PCS is the track to race at. In my experience when running a business(which last check PCS was) you want to keep customers(in this case drivers) returning. If I have incorrect facts regarding this issue, please inform me of the correct situation. When things like this happens it makes it hard to stand up for PCS. | |

| Okay, first things Happy Fathers Day to all of the fathers out there. Second, I am sure you all are getting tired of seeing my posts, well too bad.... I just looked at Volusias results and can you believe they had 102 cars total for all classes???? This to me is awesome. I have been trying to defend PCS(when its warranted) but I am starting to find myself not able to when things like the condition of the track are unacceptable and the driver from last night not being told everything before he made his choice to run with another class. If you were at PCS last night you can agree that the stands were almost as empty as last Sunday. I came to the conclusion it was the heat well that cant be the case if another track in the area(you can bet they had the same heat) had a car count of 102. Do you know what car count PCS had last night? They had 43 including mini sprints. What is going on here? What is wrong here? At this point I only really have questions I dont know the answers. But I do know that something has to be done to the track and to get people to go there not to send people away. | |

Well I hate to say it, because I'm usually one to be defending PCS, but it definately COULDN'T have been the heat. We were at East Bay Saturday night, which is always ATLEAST 5 degrees hotter down here than it is up there, along with NO SHADE what so ever! The stands were completely full, AS ALWAYS, even though we sat there and sweated our rear ends off, and they still had around 100 cars for 5 classes. So I hate to say it, but it just couldn't have been the heat. But let me tell you, if any of you got the chance to go to East Bay this past weekend, I hope you got to see that Late Model race because that was BY FARRRRRRR the BEST race I have ever seen!!!! With atleast 4 lead changes in the last 2 laps and Phillip Cobb and Jeff Matthews crossing the finish line almost door to door! The end grandstands were up on their feet. It was some awesome racing! | Ok, its Thursday and dont think the track has gotten much rain so far this week and there isnt much on the forecast. I did hear that some people were at the track very late(well passed dark) last night working on it. Lets hope they did all the right stuff. See you Saturday for some racing | |
