| 1. must have clay 2. as soon as racing is over for the night, cut the track open,6-8 inchs deep, pray for rain,3 days before the next race night wet er down, next day grade smooth, leave it alone, day 3 wet it down again, then run around slowly with packer cars, tow truck, what ever, start at the top and work your way down,( this is matter of inches) continue packing untill all is smooth.( this is called sealing) the track, the morning of race day, bring out the water truck again and wet it down, when cars start showing up to race, wet it again, when the time comes all cars need to pack the track ride slowly from the top to the bottom (no wheel spinning, makes holes and ruts). If during the race program it becomes dusty, a light sprinkle of water will fix it. Do not attempt to grade, scrape or otherwise try to do anything with a grader, trackter. One will have play with the CLAY to get it right, a tacky track is better than a hard slick surface, if you walk on it and your shoes stick to it, it is right. There are a few other little tricks that I will not go into now. Bill Fisher | |

| Oh, I forgot when not working on the track, you empty ALL the trash cans, mow the grass, paint, make repairs, etc. above all CLEAN the food prep areas, and the bathrooms, make sure there are paper supplies in ALL the rest rooms. And PROMOTE the track.Last weeks trash under the grandstand does not make a good impression on patrons who may be there for the first time,( you do want them to come back) Bill Fisher | |

| Bill, Buddy you are preaching to the choir on this one. Doesnt do any good to take your time and type all of this if the people who need to read it dont even get on a computer. The people reading it agree 100% | |

| There is no Red Flag on the Consesions at all... That comes from 2 sources Bill.... It was the Insurance that was out last week not the Health Department... So there are no worries about the food at Putnam... | |

| Red tag or no red tag, I have to hand it to Putnam, they're food always tastes good, the drinks are cold, and the ladys are very clean. I've been in there many times and whitnessed them washing their hands when they switch from one job to the next. Which is a big plus in my book, I use to be a waitress, I know the shit that goes on behind closed doors and I'm just glad that each time I've ordered something, I've seen them cleaning their hands and wiping off counter tops, etc. Because I'd hate to be the one to tell them to go wash their hands before they touch my food, but that's just me!
