| Man what a bummer not being able to race tonight. The rain held out all week until literally the hour before leaving to head to the track. I see the track has rescheduled the races for tomorrow, Sunday. I am sure the drivers are having withdrawls after not racing for two weeks in a row. However, I must say racing tomorrow is not a good(or fair) alternative. First, racing will begin at 2 in the middle of the day, the hottest time of the day. Today at 1 oclock in the afternoon it was 94 degrees. That is not with the heat index. I dont believe there will be many fans out there for many reasons, but the heat being the main one. The bleachers will be on fire and not too pleasant to sit on. I think the track is putting drivers and others in danger of heat strokes by racing. I do understand its the drivers decision to go tomorrow or not but not a choice they should have to race. The drivers in the top three(or any driver 'fighting for points')positions for points probably feel they have no choice but to go tomorrow or risk losing points that may lead to losing their positions that they have worked hard on getting to. Not to mention the fact that most people have family plans(or even work) tomorrow. There are also the ones that work on Mondays(which I am sure is the majority of folks)some of which work early. I heard the track was under water after todays rain and that it looked pretty slick after the rain so will it even be safe for the drivers to be out there? Will it have dried up enough by tomorrow at 2 pm? Will track officials have enough time to prep the track so that its safe for racing????? | |

| I agree 12pac. I'll be there and can't wait. NFS did the same thing last week and I didn't see anything about heat strokes. I figured more people would be happy about this because we get to race and it starts early so we won't be getting home too late for Monday work. I guess we'll see how it goes. | |

| Sunday racing has been tried before at Putnam, and did not work, never has, never will, too hot, weather for today is HOT 90 + . If you must go stay well hydrated lots of water, I would not take a baby to the stands at all, put on sun block 100, on arms, face, ears, and replenish at regular intervils. The track will be dry, dusty, and very loose, it will be a dangerous track, most of you have noticed that when the track is loose, someone crashes hard, how many have made the trip to the hopital this year? All of the bad crashes were caused by track conditions, think about this. The surface at Putnam is NOT condusive to racing,it belongs in a sand box in someones back yard . lots of luck. | Some of us that enjoy racing on saturday nights have other obligations on Sundays. Some work on Sundays, wives work on sundays leaving us no child care, its family day, time for doing things around the house. Theres so many factors for racing or not racing on Sunday. If racing on Sunday to make up for rain out saturday had always been an option then its known but to throw it out there all of the sudden isnt fair to most people. If the track got the amount of rain people are saying it did in that short amount of time how can/will it be ready to race safely on????? Lets remember the last time the track had a good amount of rain on it... I remember many of you drivers complaining about how the track was in the worst shape they had seen in a while. If drivers get to the track and see that it is in bad shape I hope they stand their ground and dont race. Agreeing with techman, bring lots of water and stay well hydrated. Good Luck and be safe | |

| This is just more fuel for the people complaining about the managment at PCS. This type of decision should have been made at the beginning of the season. Not last minute or because North Florida did it last week. Changing the schedule last minute was also a mistake. I changed my car to run there and found out Friday afternoon hobby Stocks were canceld for this weekend. It was a lot of wasted Work and TIME. Make a schedule and stick to it. It is just like rules. Make them and stick to them. Even the complainers will respect the managment if they did this. Putnam needs to make its own decisions that best benifits its own track. But the managment needs to think all the way through their decisions and the ramifications it has on everybody. Not just the ones saying "let's race." | |

| If you are online reading this tonight, you might want to get comfy because I have plenty to say. First, I agree if you are going to use Sunday afternoon as a make up day that is something that must be decided before the racing season begins. Secondly, the track was in such horrible shape and I am truly amazed(but relieved) there wasnt any flipping. There was some serious holes that one might go as far as calling craters, they were just that bad. I do understand that the track had been rained out two saturdays in a row but it is not fair for pcs to expect drivers to race on unsafe track. That being said I would like PCS to know that many drivers said they will not race at PCS again if the track is not worked on and done right and made safe. I dont know if you all noticed the major lack of fans in the bleachers but I sure did. Several reasons are probably to blame. It was way too hot out there to be racing. This means for the fans, the drivers and for the cars. Many cars overheated due to the fact that it was almost a 100 degrees out there. It would be totally different to run on a Sunday if things were organized and kept moving along smoothly. This doesnt happen at PCS therefore Sunday racing for makeup will not work. We were suppossed to start racing at 2, did that happen? NO it was 3 and then what the heck was the deal with the almost hour long intermission to meet the drivers of some sprints? Are you kidding me? They are there at PCS every month so why was it necessary to have that today on a day that was too hot, already behind and a Sunday? It wasnt not to the fans or the drivers. I have been to other speedways and as I understand they are all different they are all organized and with it. Some start at 730 and done before 11. Why cant PCS get it together? If you say racing starts at 2 then by gosh it needs to start at two Do not wait for this one or that one to get there It is not fair to wait on anyone when you have the ones that get there on time that abide by the schedule sitting and waiting. We need to keep the flow going. I suggest if PCS wishes to make up rain days they need to start racing on Friday nights not Saturdays. This will allow Saturday to be a make up day and not Sunday when many people work the next day and have committments on Sunday. I understand that people work on Friday but people also work Sundays So someone will be inconvenienced. PCS has great potential but they need to stick to the rules for cars and schedules for racing, things will go much smoother | |

| Well put Shorti. I lost 3rd by blowing a tire due to those big holes on the second to last lap. I was very pissed. Something has to give soon. | |

| John, Unfortunately I think several people in each class blew tires and from what I am hearing its because of the condition of the track. I dont want anyone to get me wrong, I like PCS, I want it to continue as 'our home track' but I hope things start to improve | |

| My tire blew due to track condition. I also hope things improve some how or another. I like PCS and want to continue running there but it is disappointing on occasion. | |

| the sunday race seemed to have failed on all ends.it was to hot so there was no fans willing to battle the heat for 6 plus hours.the track was not ready and a whole class was a no show.we mite want to think about never doing that anymore. | |

| I TOTALLY AGREE WITH U SHORTI AND RICKY 11 IT IS TO HOT TO BE SITTING AT THE TRACK AT 2:00 IN THE AFTERNOON THE TRACK CONDITION WAS TERRIBLE AND THE INTERMISSIONS WERE TO LONG I THINK THIS WAS A REALLY BAD I DEAL MAYBE IF THE WEATHER WAS FALL IT WOULD BE DIFFERENT BUT IN THE SUMMER THIS IS A BAD CALL | |

| My thoughts are making Friday race night Therefore when it rains out we can make it up on Saturday. Those that come to PCS on Saturday when their home track isnt running might start coming on Fridays regularly, bringing more fans, drivers and money. If running on Friday isnt an option I say the night just isnt made up. Sunday racing was absolutely the wrong move. | |

| I never post on here but I read often it seems to me that Sunday was not a good ideal. I mean the heat probley played a big factor but it seems like track conditions were absolutley horrible. I know 2 weeks without running is bad but isnt the safety of your drivers more important than that. U should not run when track conditions r so bad I think safety is more important than making a profit | |

| SAFETY FIRST. THIS INCLUDES TRACK CONDITIONS AND THE HEAT I hope the big wigs from PCS are getting wind of all of the posts and how Sunday racing is not favored. I dont agree with any Sunday racing, whether it starts before or after noon. | |
