| As a representative of the Florida Dirt Bowl Board of Directors, I want to thank Raz for all his dedication and hard work for this years Dirt Bowl. We fell short of our goal, but certainly not from his lack of effort. In conversation with him yesterday he assured me, that after a well deserved break, we will get to work on next season. Hopefully we will get to sponsors before they allocate thier $ for the coming year. There were several things we had in mind to include in the Bowl this season we weren't able to do, simply from lack of time. Next year look for great things. THANKS AGAIN RAZ, YOU DA MAN!!!!!!!!!

| Great job Raz and Ms Liz. Without you two, Florida racing would be doomed to fail!....We wanted so bad to make it up there, but with lack of communication from the track, we were unable to make it. Luckily the rain didn't hit yall like it did down here!!! I'm glad to hear things went well, and hope we, as racers and fans, can do more to get involved and help out for the 2009 season!!

| raz you have done a great job with everything you for dirt racing. The tech man during the dirt bowl made a bad call about the 17 car. if you wanna discuss it further pm me and i will get ahold of you. as far as bud know the rule book before you run your mouth. motor not set back and roller tip rocker's 100% legal. vsp has been running the 2009 ump rule book for the last three week's of the season. so get a copy and read up | |

| IF THAT WAS THE CASE VSP SHOULD HAVE UPDATED THERE RULES.....SO AS FAR AS I'M CONCERNED IT IS STILL O8 BY MY CALENDER.. NOT O9....AND I KNOW UMP RULES, DO YOU??? OH AND ROLLER TIPS WAS IN THE O8 RULES TO, BUT VSP DID NOT USE THEM!!!!! SO YOU READ UP ON YOURS, BECAUSE I ALREADY HAVE!!! REMEMBER I HAD A "TRUE" UMP STREET STOCK...... | |

| Thanks for the words. I really enjoy doing things for the drivers, fans and crews if I can. It's being a part of it without having to buy a race car....(maybe I ought to be a 50/50 guy......naaaaaaah)
My only disappointment this year was not raising enough to pay a wider field......BUT YOU WATCH US NEXT YEAR!!! We raised $3,217.75 this year and after paying for the t-shirts, were abale to give $2,600 BACK TO THE DRIVERS!
Additionally, we would like to spread the event out to encompass more dirt tracks throughout Florida, with representatives from each track helping us to manage and organize the Florida Dirt Bowl efforts. Putnam County Speedway, North Florida and Volusia have already committed to assisting with out effort. Hopefully, we can include more Florida facilities as we contact them.Late Model $100 Winner Billy Costello(accepting the award was his lovely wife who had MUCH softer hands to shake) Late Model $150 Winner (didn't have a $150 ceremonial check) Robbie MorseLate Model $200 Winner Shane BeckRick Reed $100 Pure Stock WinnerShane Taylor $100 Pure Stock WinnerJoe Trowell $200 Pure Stock Winner NOT PICTURED~ Eric Nelson $100 Hobby Stock WinnerHeath Walker $100 Hobby Stock WinnerChris Northrop $200 Hobby Stock Winner Bobby Vanschmidt $100 Street Stock WinnerKevin Davis $100 Street Stock WinnerNick Reid $200 Street Stock WinnerI appologize if I got any of the names wrong. Let me know if I did.... Special Thanks goes out to all who donated, assisted and supported our efforts. Thanks to the Florida Dirt Racing Association Board of Directors, Phil and Liz for having faith in our event, Richard Tipton for lending his knowledge and advice, Phil and Randy Moody who played a HUGE role in helping to make this successful, Performance Advantage Speed Supply, the 50/50 girl for helping me with the presentation, Jim Barnes, Florida Short Track Report, Edelbrock, The Backstretch Boys, LuvRacin.com, BMS, my brother for coming up and taking pictures and every single person who bought a t-shirt, DVD or made a donation. (wait til you guys see what's cooking for NEXT YEAR! OMG!!!!) Raz p.s. As soon as I get the "We Dig Dirt" DVDs complete, I'll be burning several copies for the drivers, fans and crews.... | |
