Somebody help me!!!!!

Ok...I just ran into a problem. I am trying to get axles out of a GM rearend that has some type of Coleman locker or something in it. I know on a stock GM rear with spider gears you can slide the axles in about 1/4 inch and the C-Clip falls off and out comes the axle. On this on the axles will not slide in at all. How the crap am I suppose to get these axles out?

USE A HAMMER LOL

Depending on how old your GM rearend is, some had 4 bolts on the backing plate just like a ford. Hope this helps. If you do not have those 4 bolts, refer back to the previous post, but get a BIG hammer. lol

EDIT to mu original post...I think it is a spool....basically there are no spidergears....and the axles do not slide in...and they are not bolted in...and the big hammer did not move the axles in either...lol

dosh i will ask uncle bob about that rear end tomorrow he of all people should know it is the rearend you got from him right ?

NO...its the rearend that came with the car....was gunna take the axle out for the new one...

Did you pull the pin? What kind of Gm is it?

I finally got it figured out. All I had to do was turn the right side hub and hte center pieces fell out of the spool and out came the clips and axles...lol...I had been tuning the left hub the whole time before.
