OPINIONS AND SUGGESTIONS

Does anyone have any POSITIVE suggestions and ideas on what PCS really needs. We will be there Jan.11th for clean up and if anyone has any ideas post them here. I will print them up and give them to Clearance at the track. I know some people have already said stuff about pay outs, rules, etc.

I'll start this off. In my opinion, pay outs need to be decided and set. If we are all there ready to run and think we are getting paid through 10th and we are only getting paid through 5th, we need to know at the drivers meeting before we get on the track. A lot of people are unhappy about the pay out cuts and that will make things more difficult if it keeps happening.

The track also needs to come up with their 2009 rules and not wait to let us know if it staying the same or changing at the last minute.

The biggest thing is COMMUNICATION COMMUNICATION COMMUNICATION


Maybe if people have ideas on what the track needs to do to keep things up and going and post it here, something can be done. This past weekend was great and the off season is the time for PCS to shine and attract new drivers and fans. A lot of people are coming to give the track a try and PCS has to impress so they'll keep coming and bring more people with them. All in all PCS needs to do whatever they can now and make it's mark and impress. It is a great place and can be the best. Just have to keep as many people happy as possible.

I was surprised to hear about the payouts to 5th and really surprised to hear that you were only expecting payouts to 10th. I have never been in a race where I didnt get paid unless I didnt start the feature. But then I am learning new things about racing down here almost daily. I do think there needs to be better communication.

On another note....I think track prep needs to be down alot better. They should be ripping that track up and watering the crap out of it every week. If this is down during the week then drop more water on it racedat then roll it out it shouldnt be as dry as it always seems ot be....plus the show would go a little quicker.

PCS is my favorite track I have been to since I have been here, but there is still room for much improvement...

Also, who do i have to talk to to register my number and does it cost anything to do it?

Registering your number is 25.00 and I know you can do it at the pay out window. Ask an official next time.

as far as only pay to 5th isnot right i agree . but alot of tracks dont pay all the way back vcs nfs ocala gis pcs if the car count is low . but it should be anouced at the meeting i agree . track prep should be done during the week but the guy that preps the track works long hours just like you and i but thats the best the track has been in a few years give it more time they are trying .

I agree with you jackrabbit. I didn't know the other tracks payed all the way through the field. Keep em coming. POSITIVE PLEASE

I think with time the track will come around, then the faithful that call PCS home will get the word out and bring in other cars...Hopefully there will not be many rainoputs this year...i heard there where alot last year. maybe other tracks will rainout and bring people to PCS

DOSH THE ONLY BAD THING ABOUT OTHER TRACKS WHEN THEY GET RAINED OUT IS "RULES' PCS NEEDS TO OPEN THERE RULES TO ALLOW OTHER CARS TO COME THERE AND RUN FROM OTHER TRACKS WE TRYED TO PLEADED WITH THEM LAST YEAR TO CHANGE THE RULES AROUND SO MAYBE THEY WILL COME UP WITH A SET TO FIT NFS, AND EAST BAY TIM DOWLING,

Tim, from what i understand I think they are going with Ocala rules with maybe some modifications....But I am not sure on this...I am waiting to find out how much I have ot spend on tires...lol

If you are going to copy another tracks rules,do it verbatium DO NOT MAKE ANY CHANGES OR MODIFACTIONS,this must happen the days of different rules are GONE.

I agree...exact rules are the best. I had 50 different tracks in 6 states and 2 Canadian provinces that I could run at under the same rules.

What track has the best rules that would fit any car. As i can tell there are 5 tracks with in 180 miles of each other pcs needs a set of rules where any of them cars from either track can come there and run so when any of them get rained out they can run at pcs from what i have seen and heard pcs needs some new faces and new cars

THE DOMINATE RULE BOOK WOULD BE EASTBAY BUT THE NFS RULE BOOK WOULD HELP, PCS NEEDS ALL THE HELP THEY CAN GET WITH CAR COUNTS, BUT THE LOCALS WILL DISAGREE WITH MOST OF THIS BUT THEN AGAIN THIS IS WHY PCS IS IN THE SHAPE IT'S IN........

If anyone has a copy of the eastbay and NFS rules and are coming to pcs on the 11th bring them with you and maybe it will help to show them to clearence and see what can be done. No matter how you look at it he is going to keep it to where the Ocala cars can come up too. We have had a lot of cars from NFS lately the past couple races.

I was just looking at the street stock rules from NFS which i would assume are the same as hobby stocks...and the rules seem pretty close to the same......I guess that is the only class i have looked at closely.....

I agree !!! pcs needs to take a look at nfs, eastbay rules. then any car can run at pcs

I think for us running pure stocks it's all the same except the racing tires. we run D.O.T and they run race tires. I think we should leave the pures alone and figure it out from there. Pure stocks are suppose to be more affordable and race tires aren't all that affordable compared to street tires. Pures are pretty much the same everywhere so leave them alone. Bombers I believe are also the same pretty much everywhere. The track just needs to check into the rest of the classes.

Maybe the state of Florida should write the rules for all the tracks in the state,then they would ALL BE THE SAME!!! Or
the fed. could write them, then all the tracks could get a bailout!
Seriously,the tracks need to impliment the SAME rules across the board.
If ya"all have time check rules across the nation,but look at the state where they are,ex.(Mass. common rules,Pa.common rules,Minn.common rules,Ala,common rules) look at the different tracks in each area,then look at the car counts.
This I or we are special syndrom is killing short track racing in Florida,and sooner or later,the light bulb will light up.
KEEP THE RULES THE SAME PERIOD.

like,wissota,ump,imsa,pra,gmra,nascar,etc.
Would it be nice to take your car from Miami,and go to wide spot in the road speedway in the panhandle and not have to change anything except the gear,and run with the locals with out having some one like me or Richard tell you to add 100 lbs.?Think about what I have said hear and make it happen,the tracks and racers MUST work together if racing is to survive.

think they should go with NFS rules or close to them we will bring 3 or 4 cars from there if they deside to run them rules payout has always been all the way back as long as you complete one lap in the feature even if it is just an entry fee something better then nothing came out this past weekend spent about 200 bucks and didnt get nothing car ran hot in the feature but thats beside the point love the track hope to run there this year

LOOK AT THE TRACKS TO THE NORTH, LIKE GIS,NFS THEN LOOK AT THE TRACKS TO THE SOUTH EASTBAY AND HENDRY THESE TRACKS ARE CLOSE OTHER THEN SOME TIRES, NOW IF PCS WILL GO WITH SOMETHING LIKE THEM THIS WOULD ALLOW CARS FROM ANYWHERE TO COME AND RUN..... KEEP THE PURE'S AND BOMERS ABOUT THE WAY THEY ARE, CHANGE THE HOBBY'S AND PUT THEM ON A TIRE THAT PUNCHES A 40 AND BE DONE WITH'EM & SPORTSMANS PUT THEM ON THE "D" SERIES, THAT WAY THE LATE MODELS AND SPORTSMANS ARE ON THE SAME TIRES THIS WILL DROP 1 SERIES OF TIRE OFF THE INVENTORY "THE RC4" THIS WILL ALSO HELP TO WALK THE TRACK IN WHEN THE LATE MODELS ARE NOT THERE. IF YA CAN GET THE RULES WHERE THEY ARE "ABOUT" THE SAME THE RACING WOULD BE ALOT MORE FUN AND LESS WHINNING AND IN THE LONG RUN IT WILL MAKE IT CHEAPER ON THE TEAMS, THE WAY IT IS NOW IF YA WANTA RUN FROM TRACK TO TRACK IT COST'S YA A ARM AND A LEG. THIS IS THE ONLY WAY PCS WILL SERVIVE. IT HAS BEEN RUN THROUGH THE HAMMER MILL THIS WILL HELP STOP MOST OF THAT, THEN IT'S UP TO MANAGEMENT TO DO THE REST, IT'S THERE JOD TO KEEP THE CARS........SO THEY ALSO NEED TO DO THE RIGHT THING AND STOP MESSIN WITH THE DRIVERS PAYOUTS........... EVERY TRACK PAY'S A TOW FEE EVEN IF IT'S ONLY 25.00!!!!!!!!!!!

as far as nfs paying all the way back is bull they only pay 24 even if there 30 cars in the feature .i spent 400.00 dollars during the turkey trot and got nothing they told me they only pay 24cars..../... i only live 15 miles from pcs 100 from nfs 40 from vcs 130 from gis .id rather drive 130 miles than go back to nfs.

I DIDN'T NO THAT I THOUGHT THEY PAID A TOW FEE BUT MADE NOT...... WE NEVER FINISHED THAT FAR BACK, BUT THEN AGAIN IF YA HAVE MORE THEN 24 CARS THIS DAY AND AGE I GUESS YOUR DOING SOMETHING RIGHT.....
