January 3rd 2009

Gates Open at 12pm
Grandstands Open at 1:30pm
Races Start at 2pm

Modifieds, Hobby Stocks
Sportsman, Pure Stocks
MiniStocks, 4 Cyl Bombers
&
4 Cyl Bombers Powder Puff

Come out and Join Us all for some

How come only 4cyl.bombers in the powder Puff?...when they use to run all divisions init there was alot more cars.

I want to say, this past Saturday, was my first time at the track, i have been running North Florida. WOW, what a great track, i'm thanking now of running here next year, i will be there for the Jan race. I led some of teh heat race, but i spun out, hope no one got mad at me, but that was the first race i have ever led, so yeah, i started getting butter flies.

Now whats the deal with the powder puff, i want to have my wife in my pure stock. please thank about opening it up for other classes.

I talked to Clarence and he said he would do a Pure Stock Powder puff race the next one.... He's not sure about mixing the big cars with the bombers..Maybe he could do Bombers & MiniStocks and the next time do PureStocks & HobbyStocks... What do you all think about that... I could bring this up to him about combining the two classes like that .. That way it give alittle more cars for the Powder Puff racesd..

That sounds reasonable. The combining would def make for a better race. When do you think he'd do the pure/hobby powder puff?

Not sure but maybe we can talk him into doing the next race after the Jan 3rd race..

I think it's a better idea to combine all the classes of cars,it was always done like that before.....they always started the 4cyl. in the front and V8 cars in the back...there never was any problems the years before,So I can't see why he can't just combine all divisions of cars on the 3rd.....I will most likely be in a 4cyl. bomber but I always thought it was alot of fun in years pass out running a modified or sportsman with a 4cyl pure stock ..

Well It was done in september of last year there.....and I would have to say I had a pretty good lead on them even lapping a couple ....Just ask anyone that was there that night and they will tell ya...the last two laps I had a right front flat but it did'nt slow me down any .And it has also been done many times before that there and at other tracks by different women.

Yes they was going to have one and did'nt have enough girls signed up to have one by them not combinding the cars together is probaly the main reason why they did'nt have enougn entries to have a powder puff race.

Some of those Bombers could run with them MiniStocks anyway... The engines on some of those bombers are just as quick as some of those mini's..But that really has not much to do with it.. It is all in how good the powder puff driver can drive that car they are in...

Because all the guys are experienced....The women in powder puffs only get to race once or twice a year even if that and is unexperienced at it....I will tell ya right now if I drove my husband Randy's hobby/street stock I would spin it out on the first lap if not I would be slow as a snail on a dirt track,rear wheel drive cars compaired to a front wheel drive car makes a world of difference to a unexperienced woman on a dirt track,now if it was asphalt I would have to agree with ya on the not combinding the cars,the butt end on the bigger motor rear wheel drive cars does'nt come around as easily on asphalt LOL,even on asphalt they combine all the classes together.
