THE CLEAN UP

WE HAD A GOOD TURN OUT FOR THE CLEAN UP THANKS TO ALL FOR COMING OUT AND HELPING WE HAD ABUT 25 TO 30 PEOPLE

I think things went great and we actually had a good time too. I think a couple more times and we'll have the place looking awesome. Glad to see how many people showed up. I will be putting up the pics we took on the myspace www.myspace.com/putnamcountyspeedway Go check them out and Beavis took pics to so I'm sure they'll be on here soon.

That was an awesome day out there... I was really supprised on the amount of people that came out.. The Infeild is really looking good & Vicyory Lane is looking good too.. The restrooms are looking alot better with all the work that went into them(Painting, New Hinges, New counters for the sinks,Faucets, Ect..).. It really shows the support of some of the drivers and others that care about there home track.
When I get all the name together I will let everyone know who to thank for coming out....

I will try to be there on Jan. 11 but that is my Birthday so I don't know what will be planned. The track will be looking great real soon.

My name is Brian and I was the 14 year old you saw doing the mowing and trimming,and also I had fun when I took The Zero-turn and rode it around the track 2 times, (looking For another lawnmower to race) You will see me racing this very soon.





my dad also helped with the clean up with his lawn busseiss,If any one needs us to do a lawn just call 904-829-5726

And also my dad's job had to shut down a section that he worked in (hes a plumber) And now hes unimployed,and looking for a job.

hay beavis you should have gotten pics of victory lane when we were done .that pic was before we started cleaning it .plus weve gotten some of the drainage for the infeild cleaned out . once the mud bog is filled we can get the rest working. as far as the infeild it looks 300% better and what i saw in the restrooms consession stand are looking good. at the difference

Yes I know I should have gotten Pictures.. I am going to try and get some soon... The infeild looks so much better and the same with victory lane..Thank to you and the group of people you had with you out there...You all did an awesome job and the same with the group up by the concessions... Everyone worked to gether really good and got things done....Hope to see you all soon

Sorry I couldn't be there to help and for not being there saturday. We had services to go to my daughters cheerleading coach passed away in a car accident. Hope to see everyone this weekend.

Are we still shooting for the next one being jan. 11 and do we have a list of things we need and things we want to accomplish yet? If we get all the supplies and stuff we were all talking about, I can't wait to see what gets done next time.

As far as I know we are still on for Jan 11th.. If I have a day I can get out there I may go and finish up that wall we all were checker boarding and maybe any other little things I could do...I am off of work until Jan 5th.. I also wanted to go and get some pics of the infeild too... Yes I can't wait to see what will happen next time too if all that got done the first time.. We should get alot of things done the 2nd time.....Can't wait to get there again

WE HAVE GOT ALL THE LUMBER & HARDWARE FOR THE PLAYGROUNDS.....WE DON'T HAVE THE CEDER SHINGLES FOR THE ROOF OR THE ROPES FOR THE ROPE LADDERS. WE ALSO PLAN TO BRING A SKIDSTEER TO HELP WITH THE INFIELD AND TO LOAD TRUCKS IF NEEDED. I ALSO HAVE A TREE MAN HE IS COMING TO TRIM ANY TREES THAT NEED IT AND TO TAKE THE ONE OLD PINE THAT WAS HIT BY LIGHTNING DOWN IN THE PITS, WHAT ABOUT THE TUNNEL? IS THERE A REASON IT WAS CLOSED OFF? AND IS THIS SOMETHING THAT NEEDS TO BE REOPENED? WHATS THE DEAL WITH THE SCORE BOARD? THIS IS ALL I HAVE FOR NOW....

I am going to try to get my buddy out there to take a look at the score board and see if he can take care of it. I already talked to Clearance about it so, hopefully we can get that taken care of. Yellow caution paint is another thing someone mentioned for the bleachers and stuff. I think other than that Bud named off all the other important stuff.

Well, it seems like you got everything taken care of. Good thing we got you helping out that's for sure. with all the stuff you're bringing up, the whole place will look like new.

WE NEED THE ROPES FOR THE ROPE LADDERS,CEDER SHINGLES FOR THE ROOF AND WHITE PLAY SAND FOR THE ONE AT THE GRANDSTAND. SOMEONE SAID SOMETHING ABOUT PUTTING A 2 BY 6 AROUND THE BOTTOM OF THE FENCE TO HOLD THE SAND IN.....

I'll see if I can come up with any of that stuff. Someone said something about using sand from the sandpit or something like that for the play area. I don't know if that is the same or not but who knows.
