The Track Would Like To Apologize About The Payouts
On Jan 3rd And It Is Something That Should Have
Been Talked About In The Drivers Meeting.
From Here On Out We Will Be Paying Back To
10th Place In All Classes For Now On..

I'll add to the pot $5 per class and challenge anyone who can to chip in what they can. I wish I could kick in more, but I found out today I've lost most of my IRA because of the economy. Talk about a shock! I thought I'd be able to retire in 5 - 10 year, but it looks like now I'll probably drop dead in traffic, either going to or coming from work.....geeez....life ain't fair sometimes... Neutral

p.s. If you're ever on I-95 or 295 during rush hour and you see my car driving erratically, better back off a bit.....I'll probably be taking a bunch with me.... Shocked

Raz,I do not even read my I.R.A. statement,I can't stand the shock,lost almost 300 k this past year,(my wife keeps hiding my gun,my sleeping pills,and my booze),but I found that.now she hides an empty bottle.You could put a big sign on the back of your car explaning why you are driving like a drinker,then the cops may not bother you and others could stay clear.

Yes...it's scary. I generally stay away from looking at my 401k and IRA statements. I like to just forget about them and let them grow.

I was under the misunderstanding that what I have put in there was relatively safe, and that I just would be collecting less interest. Man, was I wrong. 10 years of saving gone.... I too had a good portion in hig to moderate risk. geeez....I'm still shocked over the whole thing....

oh well....I'm keeping the faith and moving on. Life has a way of swinging around when times are tough... Who knows what lies ahead. As long as I have food to eat, my family and a nice, sturdy bridge to live under, I'll be okie dokie.... Shocked

I know alot of financial advisers tell people to sit tight and don't move things around because things will turn around and we'd get it back. Well, heck you'd have to be quite a few years away from retirement to get that much back!

I've resigned myself to the fact that I will not be retiring when I wanted to!
